noisy fan dm800 hd - 15-December-2011, 23:56

i have a noisy fan not all the time just when i move my dish or on some channels i want to try a quick fix like a small blob of grease in the bearing but i want to know if i take out the tunner to get to the fan will i loose all my setting in the dm

dont put any fat in your fan.... take it out...and smash it...

m8..buy another fan!..

a good fan costs around 10€...

btw...im running an 8k..& 800 both with 500gb hdd..for almost 4yrs...and no fan.

cheers m8 but what about the settings if i take out the tunner will i loose them that,s what i am more worried about

i thought u said "noisy fan"..??

use dbedit.. to save your settings...on your pc..

then u always have them...and as you eventually..change from one box..to another,,

your settings..can always be brought with u... (also easy on the wife )


with most e images..u have also a backup..plugin...

menu...setup....software management...backup system settings...

thanks m8 it is a noisy fan, but looking at it i will have to take out the tuner to get the fan out thats why i wanted to know about the settings sorry for late reply bin a bit busy
