Dreambox DM 500-S with Gemini 4.40

I have a diseq 1.2 rotor and have set 5 satelite positions.
Now I want to replace the dreambox with another one. Is it possible to find the file(s) with the settings of the 5 saved satelite positions and put the file on the new sattelite box? It will save me a lot of time, because I would not have to reallocate the sat positions on the new box.

use DreamBoxEdit ...save your settings..>>

then when u flash your 2nd box..>> download new sat.xml file with the sats u need..>>

then put your saved settings on 2nd box..again using DreamBoxEdit

I used the "receive files from the xbox" option and have got a copy of the following files on my C drive now:

- bouqets
- cables
- satelites
- services
- serviced.locked
- terrestrial
- userbouquet
- userbouquet.94b4c
- userbouquet.95ca8
- userbouquets.radio
- userbouquets.tv

I did get a message saying the following:

"All files are loaded, but with errors:
errors in service file: 78
errors in boquets file: 78
errors in userboquet.xxx.tv files: 6
errors in userboquet.xxx.radio files: 0

I am not going to "prepare" the second dreambox right away. but can I be sure now that when some day the dreambox crashes, I can use the files i made a backup on for the second box? so i can then use your method cold007 to make everything working again in the future??

and btw cold007, why should i download a new sat.xml file when i already got one in the "backup" files i made with dreamboxedit?

the box is indeed sometime very unstable (reboots all of a suden / crashes sometimes). so thats the reason I want to have a backup file, so I can easily get the second dreambox up and running.

I am not using usals (my satelite guy did not get it working). he stored the positions manually on the dreambox. it is on a very difficult place to set (there are a few building in front of it and some trees). the guy still managed to manually set 4 satelites on the dreambox.

I just want to have a backup of the important file(s) of the sat positions as they are now. When the dreambox dies, I can get the second box up and running easily. If I download the gemini 4.4. image on the second dreambox, I want to place the backup files on the dreambox where needed, so I don't have to set the positions manually again.
