Hi,

I have the same exact problem...
using all defaults in CCcam.cfg, when typing the ddns adress with :12000 I get some gybrish line - something like this:
רֻb”@«Sf{ז×#
which is different from when I add any other port to it.
I get the same result when I type the reciever's local ip and add :12000

is there a solution for that?
Thanks!

That is perfect how it should be.
Someone on the internet who would type your address:12000 should see the same or get a pop-up (octet-stream) than you have confirmed that portforwarding is also working

i am having similar problem here i can type im my local ip:12000 an i get the jibberish the same as red avashay,
i have port forwarded my router tcp & udp correctly on port 12000
but when i try to access from another pc ( another internet connection through web it is does not see anything?
when i access my *******@noip.com adress i see my noip page and i know this redirection works as i had it on another pc with ftp site previously.
i am using the same adresses i used then for dreambox now.
so i know the internet access across the domain is good.

i have exactly the same cfg details as ddinc

my f:lines are good and c:lines in my freinds box are good

if i can get my port 12000 from the net i know all is good!
but i dont see anything only internet connection error.

another question please?

i have changed the password in my dreambox to my own.
in all the settings (as above) with ddic are correct do i use my password i created for my box on webinfo ,telnet etc.etc. or does the password stay as dreambox ?

well i had missed something from running my ftp server previously ! silly me !

i had to log in to my no-ip account from the net and adjust my settings to Dns redirect !
i had it set on port 80 redirect ! i hope that might help someone :)

Never do this, cccam only uses TCP. Opening more ports, more protocols is asking for security problems

trying seeing if your router has activated your port forward by going to: [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]

if you get an error, it means either your cccam is not up and running (unlikely as you can connect in local) or your router is not forwarding correctly
also could mean that your isp is blocking (as in some countries) and you are in a "virtual network" behind a proxy (in which case, be prepared to learn how to setup a vpn)
