Dreambox vs Linux PC Server

Hello,

I am new to CCcam - and I have been through many posts, which I found very interesting. I have a few questions please.

Using local NDS I am thinking of switching from Gbox to CCcam for better stability:

Is this worth doing?
Is it better to set up a dedicated PC server (linux)? I was thinking of an Asus Eee Box B202 backed up by UPS.
I've been told that CCcam may damage NDS 2 card - is this a real danger?
