tghe ProgBee looks like a clone of the Infinity USB PHoenix and I suspect that, like the infinity, you need to switch it to phoenix mode using some software. If it is in fact a clone you need to use the nftytool to switch the reader to phoenix (the usb port is used for that as well as to power the reader).

The " [ Loader ] Reset failed ..." in the log means the card didn't reply to the ATR.
Are you connecting both the USB cable AND the serial cable ?
Are the LED on when you connect the reader (1 red and 1 green) ?

I found a description of the reader and it's supposed to be a simple reader running at 3.58 MHz (the usb is only use for power), so it looks like it's more of a connection issue than anything else if the reader works on windows.
If you have more than 1 serial port make sure it's on serial 0 (/dev/ttyS0).

USB - only for power 5V. serial port - data

(12-July-2009 10:26)
I connecting the USB cable AND the serial cable.
Input card on my reader
1 red and 1 green - ok
My PC have 1 serial port (/dev/ttyS0, but I tried use in my config ttyS1,ttyS2,ttyS3)
windows - ok
Linux - output error " [ Loader ] Reset failed ..."

ATR - that this?
that can be not so in linux in contrast with windows os?

The ATR is the data returned by the card when it receives a reset.

could you give use the output if this command :
lsof | grep dev

just to make sure your serial port is not already used by something which would explain why newcs can't talk to the card.
