Question connecting 24h server gbox and PC - 18-November-2007, 00:25

hello,
i have a 24h server gbox on my notebook, and im trying to get it working with the PC witch has skystar 2.

they are both connected to the same internet line, so they have the same ip.
i think its because of that, that it doesnt work.

can someone help me out??????

i have a dyndns account for gbox no my PC
and another dyndns account on the notebook (witch i want to make a 24h server of).

i put the dline of the PC on the notebook, and the notebooks dline on the PC.
when i start gbox, they both appear offline!!! but gbox is working because i recieve cards from my peers, on the notebook and PC. i just cant get my pc to recieve cards from the notebook (and viceversa).

what must i do?

I can help you but you must tprovide me just more info. How you conect notebook and pc to the internet? Are you using router or some other device to conect notebook and pc to the internet? If you have one IP you must use only different UDP ports for buth PC, not diferent dyndns

i have a router witch connects both PC and notebook. i will try using the same dyndns

(18-November-2007 02:06)
ive tried using the same dyndns but still doesnt work!.

my cwshare.cfg is like this for example:

on PC:
M: { abcd.xxxdns.com { passPC }}
D: { abcd.xxxdns.com { 11111 4444 { passNB { A3 A3 }}}}

on Notebook:
M: { abcd.xxxdns.com { passNB }}
D: { abcd.xxxdns.com { 4444 11111 { passPC { A3 A3 }}}}

in gbox control, they are offline. they have the same IP.

i've also tried with diffrent dyndns:

on PC:
M: { abcd.xxxdns.com { passPC }}
D: { efgh.xxxdns.com { 11111 4444 { passNB { A3 A3 }}}}

on Notebook:
M: { efgh.xxxdns.com { passNB }}
D: { abcd.xxxdns.com { 4444 11111 { passPC { A3 A3 }}}}

still both offline.

but gbox is working, as i have some peers online. i've also tried to connect the PC and notebook just with their M and D lines, without using other peers, and still Offline.

any sugestions?

I finally got the Notebook and PC connected!!!!!

you have to use the internal IP of the notebook and PC, in the dlines and mline, to connect the two.

example:
ON the Server (notebook)
M: { abcd.xxxdns.com { passNotebook }}
D: { ipPC { 11111 4444 { passPC { A3 A3 }}}}

ON PC:
M: { ipPC { passPC }}
D: { ipNotebook { 4444 11111 { passNotebook { A3 A3 }}}}

hope this is help to someone else that may have the same problem i had next time.

:-)
