Unhappy Vmware+Ubuntu+Emubox+CCCam kill me... - 08-May-2009, 22:42

Hello everybody !

First sorry for my English but I am French ;)

I am trying to set up a CCCam server on Ubuntu running in Vmware under Vista and I am using Progdvb+Emubox to see TV.

The fact is that I set up the server correctly because I can see my friends who are sharing to me, but the problem is that they can"t see me...

I tried many thing: port forwarding on my router, disable the firewall, installing a windows XP etc etc....

In Vmware I am using a bridged connection wich is linked to my pci wifi card.

If i use a C line based on my own network, for example: "192.168.1.48 user pass" I can connect to my server but if I use a C line based on my dyndns as "user.dyndns.org" I am unable to connect to my server.

The dyndns address seems to work because my friend who tested my port 12000 used a program which uses the dyndns address.

I am trying to make it working for 5 days and still nothing :(

Thank you for your help!

EDIT: I think that I posted in the wrong section... Maybe an administrator could move the post into the "plugins" category...

Thanks

Thank you for your reply.

My port are open.

I looked with one member to my problem yesterday and we weren't able to find a solution. I think that the problem is in the relationship between Windows and VMWare.

Maybe you know how should I set up my network (NAT or bridged) and if I use Nat how should I set the portforwarding with the folowings: Router IP:192.168.1.1
Windows IP:192.168.1.13
Linux under VMWare: 192.168.128.128
Port used: 12000

I really don't know what's wrong with my setup...
